My sick baby is confined in his room...

For a few weeks now, winter has been bringing its joys and disappointments. Among them, the winter viruses happily exchanged in all the common places frequented by our little blond heads...Except that for some of us the experience of a sick child cloistered in his room is, there too, an apprenticeship. As the day did not start under the best hospices today, I am very inspired to write a few lines about this daily life we all share: the sick child.

This morning, my little angel turned into a hot screaming baby. Neither one nor two, I wrap him in his warm nomad blanket to run to the doctor. He confirms that our little cat, having nothing serious, must remain under surveillance, warm, at home, in his room. And yes, despite all our efforts and our obsessive obsession to wash little hands, cover up and keep away from any other human form with a runny red nose, the virus will have been stronger. "Okay, Doc, but I have no plans to do that at all! This is not a good time! " (Reflections that I was careful not to say out loud...). So deep down, it's first of all a rise in stress mixed with anxiety to finally organize things into natural priorities. "Too bad for lunch with such a person and then I'll catch up on the weekend if I have to. Once the situation is accepted, then the vision of the problem seems quite different to me.

BUILD ON YOUR OWN EXPERIENCE

In desperation, I take out my toolbox (or pharmacy), and do not immediately give in to panic. I try to remember my own memories. So there, I get images of my mother who seemed to come to the rescue instantly and without blinking. Solid as a rock, she intervened obediently and showed unlimited patience as I kept calling her from my bed. It made me feel like the Earth had stopped spinning for me.  But where did this natural force come from? Today, I invite you to have a frank discussion with her on this subject. Ahahahahah, you're not going to be disappointed! It may be that the myth stops, but you will realize that your source of inspiration is also super human... just like us! Nature is well done, our child's gaze did not reveal the exasperation or panic in our mother. It's our turn to endorse this cover of "Super-mom-soft-and-delicate-capable-of-supporting-repetitive-complaints"

BECOME A VIRUS ERADICATION STRATEGIST

So once all these feelings have passed, we become a true warrior whose objective is to eradicate the virus. The doctor's recommendations are strictly followed. We do not postpone the "nose blowout" to 5 minutes, and above all, we work to improve the morale of our little cabbage. To do this, and depending on the condition of the little patient, all these solutions are alternated or compiled:

- mothering the kitty: we don't skimp on hugs, kisses.

- garnish your plate with what you prefer (and which is healthy of course!)

- put him in clean, smelly pajamas.

- redo your bed with clean, ultra soft sheets

Bed linen and childcare items "by Milinane" are designed to reinvent the decoration of the children's room.

A harmonious and refined nursery for our little warrior KO...

In short, we constantly surround him with gentleness and help him to go in the right direction. Quite often, at the end of this episode, we are the ones who are the most relieved and happy! It is also our victory (that we can give ourselves the right to celebrate!)

Reassure me, mothers, you too go through these states when you experience this situation?

Have a good weekend!

M

PS: and we don't forget to wear the nomadic blanket or the chancellor even for a 5-minute walk!
