Sevillian inspiration

My experience as a young mother in Spain allowed me to discover clever childcare objects, unknown until then. It was therefore natural that Milinane made them her trademark.

A SEVILLIAN INSPIRATION: SPANISH CHILDCARE AT THE SERVICE OF OUR BABIES

Looking back, I think my project started in Seville. Spain, a country where the child is king, a temple of childcare. It is there that I became a mother, and it is also there that I became familiar with all the objects dedicated to early childhood.

And what a surprise! I didn't expect to discover so many different and unknown products. I had never seen a friend or sister-in-law use protective seats for cosys or strollers... Except, perhaps, the famous sponge cover, used in case of heavy heat...

As I walked through the streets of Seville, my eyes were opened to a bunch of clever objects dedicated to the well-being of toddlers. Amongst other things, the stroller seats have been democratized to the max: plain, colourful, classic, chic, with lace and so on, there's something for everyone!

Apart from the desire to have a prettier stroller, I frankly didn't see any interest in it... until a Spanish friend gave me her point of view: "A stroller without a seat is a bit like a bed base without mattress and sheets"... I love it! Seen like that, it would be hard to do without it! But what common sense! You would lie down on a mattress freshly unpacked of its plastic protection and without sheets, to take a good nap? A way anyway... and to wash it? We take it to the dry cleaner's ? and we sleep directly on the slats of the bed base !? My God, how practical it is to load your mattress into the Twingo every 10 days: "I'll be right back sweetheart, I'm off to the dry cleaner's! »

Well, I'll grant you, I'm going a bit far in the demonstration but we're close to reality. When you think about it, our little ones spend a certain amount of time in these strollers, travelling for miles. They spend moments of improvised naps, playing, crying, laughing, having (crushed) snacks, sometimes overexcited, sometimes quietly. In these cases, the seat of the stroller seems to me necessary for questions of comfort and hygiene. It is all the more necessary if it is made of a delicate and easy-care material.

This Spanish vision has remained firmly anchored in me. It is an evidence that I invite you to discover without delay.

Have a nice week!
